What Are Clear Aligners?

Clear aligners are a modern, virtually invisible orthodontic treatment. Instead of relying on metal brackets glued to your teeth, this system uses a series of clear, medical-grade plastic trays, for which a commonly known system is Invisalign brand. We work with ClearCorrect, Spark Aligners and Angel Align systems to offer you a more competitively priced but treatment planned with a team of accredited clinicians to achieve your straighter smile.

Each set of aligners is custom-engineered to gently and gradually move your teeth into their ideal positions. You wear each set for about one to two weeks before moving on to the next one in the series.

Your Clear Aligner Journey: What to Expect​

Step 1: The Initial ConsultationWe start with a thorough exam. We use advanced digital scanning technology to take a 3D model of your mouth--no messy, gooey impressions required. We will show you a virtual preview of what your finished smile will look like before you even start!
Step 2: Custom FabricationYour digital scans are used to map out a precise, step-by-step treatment plan. A specialized lab then crafts your custom series of clear aligners.
Step 3: You'll wear your aligners for ideally 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. Every week, you'll pop in a new set of trays as your teeth seamlessly shift.
Step 4: Reveal Your New Smile! Once you finish your last set of aligners, your treatment is complete! We will provide you with a custom retainer to wear at night to ensure your beautiful new smile stays perfectly in place.

Frequently Asked Questions​

How much do clear aligners cost? The cost of clear aligners varies depending on the complexity of your case and how long your treatment takes. During your consultation, we'll provide a complete breakdown of costs. We also offer flexible payment options and quarterly payments to make your new smile affordable.
How long does the treatment take? Often, clear aligner treatment takes about 12 months, though minor corrections can take as little as 6 months. A complex case take 18months, including revisions as some people's teeth take longer and tract different to what is projected. You will start seeing visible changes within just a few weeks, however it's always the last fine tuning movements that take the longest to get right. It will also be harder to correct complicated movements with clear trays and you may need braces or a specialist orthodontist if significant malocclusion is present.
Are clear aligners painful? Clear aligners apply constant, light pressure to move your teeth. You might feel some minor soreness or pressure for the first day or two after switching to a new set of trays, but this is a normal sign that your aligners are doing their job.

In-chair whitening

If you want results fast, then in-chair whitening may be the way to go. In-chair whitening (bleaching) treatments generally takes around 1 hour, after which you should see results. The procedure uses safe and approved dental products that allow fast and effective whitening. To ensure your teeth get the best treatment, a certified dentist continuously supervises all in-chair procedures. We also make use of sensitivity-reducing agents to ensure there is only minimal discomfort. After one session your teeth will be whiter and brighter, which is more accelerated than custom dental home whitening, where it may take days before you see any results. While results of in-chair whitening will vary from patient to patient (and also may cause some sensitivity), most patient’s teeth will become several shades lighter after the first session. You can then consult with your dentist and decide if any further sessions of in-chair whitening is required. Following your in-chair whitening procedure, we highly recommend either home maintenance whitening kit, or further in-chair whitening to continue to whiten and maintain your bright white smile. ​
